When a Fairy Tale Turns Into a Nightmare

When I married Tim, I thought I was marrying a prince charming. You see, he was handsome and really sweet. Back then, I was still very young and when I met Tim, he almost instantly stole my heart away. When I felt bad about something, he just knew the right words to say to make me feel better. That's why when he asked me to marry him three years ago, I said yes in a heartbeat. I thought that was the beginning of a fairy tale romance. But I was wrong. Tim turned out to be an insecure and self absorbed man. He did not allow me to have time with my friends. Every time my phone rings, I had to tell him who is phoning me. My life turned out to be a big mess especially when Tim started drinking. He would hurt me every time he gets drunk. I have to beg him before he stops beating me up. I cry myself at night, hoping and praying that when I wake up, everything turns out to be a bad dream.
